Amanda is the BEST! I was referred to Amanda when I was looking for someone to remake my mothers wedding dress. My dress was perfect and was totally me. When I first contacted Amanda and started planning the dress it was for my Ontario summer 2020 wedding. That of course got delayed and we switched to have a February winter wedding in Alberta! We kept the two piece dress idea, but added sleeves and satin under the skirt for warmth. Amanda was so flexible, understanding of the situation and turned a summer dress into a warm winter dress. The skirt twirled, fit perfectly, was comfy and even had pockets! Oh and so reasonably priced. Couldn't recommend enough! I love my dress!

What styles are there?
The options are endless with couture. You just need to send a picture of your idea and we can make it happen.
Should I try on all the styles?
You can try on several styles to find what you love most. Or you can take a look in your closet first and see what dresses you already have and which one make you feel fantastic. Then you can try on similar styles to that and go from there. But definitely try on dresses. Ie; Aline are very popular and can come in many different styles even a summer dress.
What fabrics are there?
The fabrics depend on what you are looking for. All fabrics are purchased when making your dress order. So you get to choose from 4-5 options that I send you, making you a huge part of the process. We do have some sample fabrics on hand for fabrics that are common.
What colour would suit me?
It honestly depends on what you would like, however when you try on dresses you can really know what colour looks fantastic and if any you wouldn’t like.
What kind of trains are there?
You can have any length train you would like with custom #traingoals can definitely be achieved!
Do you make veils?
Couture Veils are available from Birdcage to Cathedral whatever your heart desires we can create for you.
When should I book?
8 to 12 months is recommended, however we can do a minimum of 6 months.
How long is the process?
You will have 3 - 6 fittings depending on the design of your dress with up to two weeks before the wedding for alterations.
Can I have beading?
Absolutely you can add beading, jewels and any other detail you want, the options are endless with Couture.
How do I pin up my train?
A bustle is the way to go and is included in your dress quote.
Can I add pockets to any style?
Most dresses can have pockets added unless it is a very fitted dress.
What is included in the quote?
Fabric (Shipping costs), labour, minor alterations and fittings.
How involved can I be?
You can be as involved as you want, some brides want me to send updates and pictures as I find fabrics and get things done, others wait until there first fitting. Totally up to you, this is your investment so I will provide as much information as I can for you during the process.
Do you do alterations?
Yes, we do all sorts of alterations from hems to complete deconstructions and style changes on Boutique dresses. Whether for a couture piece or a dress from another bridal boutique. The perfect fit for every line and curve of you is what I focus on, adjusting at the bust with boning and/or cups (push ups are popular!), waist and hips to accentuate your beautiful shape no matter your size.
