3 Ways to Alter an Illusion Dress

This one comes up alot with my clients. "Are you able to cover..." (fill in the blank) Illusion dresses are gorgeous, however if you have some insecurities you'd like the conceal these aren't always the easiest choice. However you can always alter these dresses to have them be your dream dress and highlighting only your assets.

1. Have lace appliques added to the front and back. This can be as space or as full as you'd like it to be. I have done this sever times and it always looks so beautiful and some of my brides don't even realize I've hidden those scars or tattoos until I say "and it covers that so nicely for you."  A job definitely well done!

2. Use skin tone or the same fabric to completely cover those Illusion pieces. This is one I do more for religious reasons or the Mother of the Groom has requested maybe its just a little too exposed. Making the in-laws happy, check!

3. Add lace or fabric sleeves. This is a request I also get because our arms seem to be a zone us women don't love. Now if the dress already has Illusion sleeves you can add appliques or change them out if you're still uncomfortable.

The point is on this day you should feel beautiful, confident and comfortable, not worry about any insecurities you may have because there's no time for that on your wedding day. That's why I do what I do so you don't have to!
